Simone
Hello! I'm Simone, an aspiring coolhunter. I was born in Japan, raised in
California, and schooled in Marketing,
International Business, and Fine Arts in Washington, DC.
I am fascinated by all sorts of trends- social, sartorial, psychological,
technological... they're undeniably delicious. I want to spend my life
discovering new ones and finding out the causes and motivations that drive
them.
Through various jobs and internships, I've explored the
renewable energy
industry, the environmental movement, the cutting edge of
gourmet chocolate,
the cupcake craze, and
alternate reality games.
I am currently working as an Online Marketing and Community Manager with HubPages. On the side, I do contract work with trend forecasting companies such as TechCast and PSFK and research trends and trend spotting independently on my blog, Cultural Espionage.
In addition to coolhunting, I love to read, write, photograph, people watch,
travel, and explore. If our paths ever cross, let's go for a walk! Just make
sure you bring good shoes. And lots of energy.
